Multi-Cultural Weddings

As well as civil and church weddings, Les has undertaken many Sikh and Hindu weddings, pictures of which are available to view in the gallery.

Les also does Scottish themed weddings, complete with Quaich ceremonies and can provide a bagpiper if required.

Sikh Weddings

Les welcomes the Barat and introduces the Milni, after which all go for refreshments, usually in the form of tea, pakoora and other refreshments. The Sangat then goes off to the Gurdwara for the marriage ceremony. Les then awaits the arrival of the guests for the cutting of the cake, first dance, speeches and the following party.

Hindu Punjabi

Les welcomes the Barat and organises the Milni and Jamala either after Milni or in front of the Mandap. Les also announces the grand entrance of the Bride and Bridegroom, any speeches, the cutting of the cake and then the first dance and following party.

Hindu Gujarati

For Hindu Gujarati weddings, Les assists with the reception of Barat, announces the Puja ceremony if required. He then announces the grand entrance of the Bride and Bridegroom, organises the cutting of cake, the first dance and party.
